The company has guaranteed that any Red Hat application can run untouched on Oracle Autonomous Linux. The Oracle Autonomous Linux is designed for extreme performance, high consistency, security, and self-sufficiency. The new version is free for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure customers and thus, one can let go off the IBM paying scheme. There is also an Oracle OS Management Service that has been introduced that is currently available on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to help monitor and control systems while running on Autonomous Linux, Linux, or Windows. The customers will have to abide by government policies and also the service will let one automate capabilities to help manage tasks for Linux systems. The security updates for Linux kernel and user space libraries are all provided without any delay. The automated alerts are provided.
The autonomous system can help provide better security and the company plans to launch Oracle Cloud in 20 new countries by 2020. Similarly, the company has also recently introduced the Oracle Cloud Free Tier that will help users use Oracle’s Autonomous Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for free for an indefinite period. The users can run VMware Cloud Foundation on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as well and also transfer the workload from VMware vSphere to Oracle’s Generation 2 Cloud Infrastructure. The company has also developed Oracle Exadata X8M and Gen 2 Exadata Cloud.
