Chairman Of Disney Bob Iger Resigns From Apple To Dodge Upcoming Conflicts

In a recently published SEC filing spotted by CNBC, very critical information regarding the resignation of one of the Apple’s board of directors is mentioned.

Disney CEO Bob Iger, who joined Apple’s board in November 2011, has resigned on September 10, 2019. Neither the tech company nor he specified any cause behind the departure. Even in the SEC filing, no reason for the departure of Iger was mentioned. However, Iger resignation is somehow associated with the futuristic clashes, which will ignite with the launch of solicited video streaming services by both Apple and Disney in November 2019.

In March 2019, even Bloomberg reported that Iger might have to manage responsibilities for both the positions for the launch of Apple and Disney’s upcoming streaming services at nearly the same time. During that time, Iger dropped the subject by informing Bloomberg it would not be an issue.

The soon-to-be-launched video streaming services by Apple and Disney would have much in common, as the names suggest “Apple TV+” and “Disney+,” respectively. After the resignation of Bob Iger, now there are seven members in Apple’s board of directors’ team, which include Tim Cook, James A. Bell, Susan L. Wagner, Arthur D. Levinson, Andrea Jung, Al Gore, and Ronald Sugar.

On a related note, Sling TV’s on-demand, as well as live content, can be streamed on Safari browser supported on Apple desktops. The American leading internet TV has been delivering its services on Chrome and Edge browser, but the recent feature lets users enjoy the TV services directly on Mac’s Safari browser, without accessing an additional app on the desktop.

You can access Sling TV service on your Mac browser if Safari version installed on your machine is 11.1 (launched in 2018) or later. Moreover, the Mac OS version should not be too older.
