Coffee drinkers may have healthier gut microbiotas

The latest research conducted by scientists has revealed that those persons who drink lots of coffee every day may have healthier bacteria in their guts. These bacteria are beneficial for the human body and can reduce other side effects.

This is one of the latest revelations and another positive of drinking coffee. Drinking coffee is helpful to reduce weight and fat in our body. It also eases inflammation due to obesity or asthma and even protects the ageing of the brain.

Drinking about three cups of coffee a day keeps our arteries healthy which improves blood circulation in our body. It also helps in calcium build-up which improves bone strength and reduces the risk of blood clogging.

It can also help in fighting diabetes and help to maintain blood sugar levels in check and also keeps the liver in a good shape.

But scientists are yet to discover the real cause of how it has many health benefits.

The doctors have already shown that consuming coffee can reduce metabolic diseases. The scientists have been trying to examine the phytochemical properties of caffeine and find out whether it is responsible for so many benefits. The scientists conducted an experiment to find out the association of caffeine and the colonial bacteria found in the gut of humans.

The conclusions reveal that high coffee consuming persons have a high level of certain genera of the bacteria which are indeed beneficial for humans. The research was conducted on a group of 34 people regardless of their age and dietary habits. The participants were classified into two groups based on their daily coffee intake. Those who consumed more than 82.9 mg of coffee per day were in the high coffee consumers and those who drank less than 82.9 mg were in the low consumption category.
