First Snapchat Lens By VSCO Includes Film-Based Effects

VSCO is offering Snapchat consumers a taste of what its photography application can provide. The photo-slash-filter well-liked application has joined hands with Snapchat and launched its first lens for the service dubbed as “Analog.” It has 2 filters, and as per VSCO, they are exclusive and new to the service. The first of the two, film, imitates the leaks, light glares, and distortion that can come into view on film. In the meantime, Prism can make a refracted, whimsical double effect. Similar to any other filter, they can be employed combined or individually—they also operate on both static videos and photos.

Consumers can apply the filters by clicking them on the right-hand end of the display while seeing the Analog lens. The Snapchat lens by VSCO is accessible to consumers for free, beginning this week. It is a sponsored restricted version deal, although, and will only be accessible till December.

On a related note, after grappling to develop its consumer base for quite some time, Snap has lately managed to make some progress in that objective. Its previous earnings report displayed that the firm managed to develop its DAU (daily active user) number 7% over the previous quarter. From its Q3 results launched earlier, it seems Snap is carrying on to do well. In the previous quarter, the firm managed to include 7 Million consumers. Now, Snap is claiming that its DAUs have elevated by 13% as compared to last year, with a sum of 210 Million consumers currently.

Snap also managed to develop its income by 50% as compared to last year, making $446 Million versus the earlier $296 Million. In general, the firm is still not beneficial, clocking a loss of $227 Million in Q3 this year. That is still an enhancement from the $323 Million the firm lost last year.
